- The CEM40 is the standard version of this mount and offers < ±7 arcsec accuracy and a 1.5" steel tripod. The CEM40EC version provides higher accuracy.

The iOptron CEM40 Center Balance Equatorial mount provides a high payload to weight ratio. The mount head itself weighs a very manageable 15.8 pounds but the mount can carry 40 pounds, excluding the counterweight making it well suited to medium sized imaging systems, heavier refractors and larger cameras or complex imaging trains. Smart design features like the Self Centering Saddle (USCS) which will accomodate both D and V series dovetails, large and easy to use quick lock gear clutches can be easily switched with gloved hands, and the built in iPolar electronic polar finder make this a user friendly equatorial mount. The all metal CNC machined body is designed for rigidity and precision. PPEC period error correction and < +/- 7 arcsecond accuracy ensure that you will be on target throughout your imaging session. The CEM40 includes a Go2Nova hand controller with a massive database and built in heater and 32 channel GPS. An integrated ST4 auto guide port and USB communication port are ready to accept your guiding and control accessories. Plus advanced cable management keep your cables neatly tucked out of the way.
