In additonal to exceptional still performance the R6 truly shines in it's video performance.  The 20MP sensor supports 4K video recording at 60 frames per second and Full HD at 120 frames per second. It can also record in both formats at 4:2:2 10-bit. It features dual-pixel AF and supports external recording.  Canon's 1053 point AF II system works for both internal and external video and the HDMI port allows for high quality 4K output. 

The R6's moderate resolution of 20MP makes it ideal for those working with web and small print forms. Its built-in DIGIC X image processor is also capable of handling high-speed continuous shooting at up to 12 frames per second with the mechanical shutter or up to 20 frames per second with the electronic shutter.  The electronic shutter provides silent shooting, great for moving objects and wildlife photography or shooting situations requiring low noise.   A high ISO range of 100-102400, can be expanded to ISO 204800 for excellent high speed and low light performance.

Canon's updated Dual Pixel AF II system features 1053 predefined focusing points, which can cover almost 100% of the image frame. This feature eliminates the need for manual focus adjustments by focusing on the most important parts of the image.  The R6's Movie Servo AF system is designed to provide fast and accurate focusing when working with still images. It can also be used to shoot video with smooth and natural focusing. It features a variety of settings and can also select the appropriate AF speed and face tracking priority.  The R6's Touch AF system allows users to focus on objects in the scene by touching them on the touchscreen. This feature also makes it possible to focus on objects in a cluttered environment. The R6 is the first EOS camera to feature a five-axis sensor-shifting image stabilization system. This feature compensates for up to eight stops of camera shake and works in concert with the lens' optical image stabilization.
